Based in the the Country Music Capital, Nashville, The Middle Tennessee Lane College Alumni Chapter is small in number, but mighty in works! The chapter has members from all over the Middle Tennessee region. To date, the chapter has 5 Life Members, 20 general members and 6 associate members.
Under the current leadership, the Middle Tennessee Lane College Alumni Chapter has worked to maintain and to establish nee relationships with local businesses and business owners. In doing so, the chapter has been able to significantly increase its gifting to Lane College.
The Middle TN Chapter has partnered with globally-recognized and local nonprofit organizations such as The Salvation Army and Hydrate The Hood on special projects to raise awareness of the growing homeless population in Nashville, provide meals and give back in service to this special population.
The Chapter has also worked to increase involvement in the chapter and the association by recruiting new members especially millennials, focusing on re-engaging and reconnecting past members, and facilitating meetings with potential new members to their local Presidents and Regional Vice Presidents.
Notably, The Chapter has strategically put a precedence on training and mentorship in recent year. Seasoned Lanites are taking an active role in developing young leaders by training them in business etiquette to conduct chapter business in a proper manner.
