Marcus serves as President for the UNCF Chicago Inter-Alumni Council & President for the Lane College Chicago Chapter Alumni Chapter. He received his bachelor’s degree from Lane College in 1977 and earned a master’s degree in human services administration. Marcus worked 39 years in social/human services with Frederick Douglass Rehabilitation Center and later at Ada S. McKinley Community Services (38 years), retiring as a center director in 2017.
In 2002, Mr. Bullock established an endowed scholarship (The Bullock Family Scholarship) at Lane College. Mr. Bullock is a member of the Lane College NAA Executive Board and chairperson of the Give Back to PAC Mentoring Program at Lane College.
The Annual “A Mind Is…” The Gala will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023. The Gala is Chicago’s signature fundraiser and social event focusing on raising awareness of the need and benefits of college education, the students UNCF serves, and the contributions of historically black colleges and universities.
