The Denver Chapter meets on the on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 PM MT via Zoom Please contact our President for meeting details.
The Denver Chapter was re-activated in June 2022 with six Lanites: Hollis Booker, Roy Castleberry, Shawnetta K. Madden, Michael Short, Jeffrey T. Smith and Larry Young. The Denver Chapter was started in the 1970s and operated for approximately 25 years. Early members included Ms. Honora Hardy, William Hardy, and Copeland Hutson. In the late 1980s and early 1990s, there were a few more active members with the chapter with a collection of parents and associate members.
Hallmark events in the late 1970s and early 1990s were the Young Man of the Year Showcase and Annual Chapter Luncheon, respectively. In 2023, the Denver Chapter aspires to:
- Establish a chapter newsletter highlighting members and chapter history.
- Participate in college fairs to recruit students for Lane College.
- Attend CME churches in Denver, Cleaves Memorial and St. Luke to promote Lane College and recruit students.
- Conduct several fundraisers to support the chapter and contribute to Lane.
- Create a Facebook page to promote the chapter.
